The Wanderer

My mind has wandered
into a place unknown
dangerous territory
i am lost, spinning in circles
yet i'm not afraid
i am non responsive to the sound of your voice
calling me back
i feel your grip tighten around my wrist
pulling me back
i am ignorant, i refuse to leave
exploring a place strange to me
i embrace my surroundings
i consume the change
i touch, i smell, i feel the earth
yet so many questions remain unanswered
i wander farther and farther
you lose your grip, and i begin to drift
i am relaxed and calm
i can hear your echoing sobs
my smile remains
i am adventerous youth, claiming the days as my own
before its too late
the picture of you begins to fade
you become a shadow, nothing but an epmty escence
of who i used to be
and i wander farther, deep into my mind
becoming me


for those of you who cant figure it out, this is about change and letting go of your past. i used personification to represent my past trying to control who i am today. and its about me being on my journey to discovering who i am :]
